Viral Migos AI Videos: Who Took the Mic in the Orange Booth
The viral Migos AI videos are remakes of one 2022 clip: Quavo and Takeoff performing “Hotel Lobby” at a single hanging mic in an orange A COLORS SHOW booth. From mid-September 2026 people used AI to put anyone else at that mic, and the cat version alone drew 7.7 million views on X.
Below are the clips that shaped the Migos AI meme, grouped by who is at the mic and linked to each creator’s own post. We leave out clips of real celebrities and politicians. Dates and counts were checked on October 2, 2026.

Suits, cats and a reply from Quavo
Billboard dates the first known edit to September 15, 2026, when the Hotel Lobby AI trend began: TikTok user @glorify_studio put two Suits characters at the mic, for 1.7 million views. Three days later @ogfeitoza posted two cats, a Siamese and a black cat, on X: 7.7 million views by Billboard’s count. Know Your Meme logs Napoleon and Mbappé next, on September 19.
On September 23 Quavo answered by posting the untouched COLORS performance on X as “The Original #HotelLobby”. The original performance is still on YouTube, and the full story is on the Hotel Lobby trend page.

Done for real, no AI
Some creators skipped Hotel Lobby AI tools altogether. Ross Smith remade it on a real orange set with one hanging mic and a white-haired partner. On October 1 Victoria Monét and Quavo posted their own version, captioned “No AI” (Revolt via Yahoo).
Why the best clips land
- Distance from the original: a cat or a masked slasher beats a lookalike.
- Two clear roles: one leads, one hypes. The reactions are half the joke.
- The set people know: flat orange wall, silver mic on a cable, a still camera.
- Short and vertical, so it loops on TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
- A sound that fits: the original track, or an AI rap about the pair.
Why some fans push back
Takeoff died on November 1, 2022, and to many fans the COLORS clip is a memory of him. Complex reported comments calling the Hotel Lobby AI trend an erasure of him, plus worries about consent and uploaded faces. Commentator Elliott Connie explains why he will not join in. Most clips above put new performers in the booth instead of copying the two rappers, the only kind RapVideo makes.
Starring your own duo
Want your own? On the Migos AI page, upload a photo per person (or one of you both) and choose the sound: the Hotel Lobby track, a song of yours, or a verse the AI writes. A 12-second 480p video is 6 credits, refunded if the render fails. For pairings, see Hotel Lobby trend ideas; friends trading lines is also the idea of an AI rap duo.
