Short version: the Raindance AI trend is a music-video style edit made with AI. A person, or a couple, is seen singing slowly in warm rain by the sea, and the post runs on the Raindance sound. LightX dates the trend to September 2026, across TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
That sound is Raindance by Dave and Tems. Dave, the British rapper, and Tems, the Nigerian singer, put it out on 23 October 2025, a day ahead of his third album, The Boy Who Played the Harp; by January 2026 it was the UK’s number one single. RapVideo is independent of both artists and their labels.
The effect asks the model for exactly this scene: you at the end of a weathered wooden pier, the low sun flaring behind you, a summer shower that slowly soaks your hair and clothes, and a slow push-in as you sing, eyes half shut, a hand on your chest. Face, hairstyle and outfit come from your photo; its background is dropped.
No clip made here ever will. Yours has an original slow love song, sung softly over rain and waves. When you post, choose Raindance by Dave and Tems in the sound picker and turn the original audio down; how to do the AI trend on TikTok shows each tap.

Inside the clip
Old planks over a calm sea, the sun low behind you and flaring into the lens.
It starts partway through and glitters as your hair and clothes get wetter.
Eyes half closed, singing slowly to the camera as it creeps closer.
Soft original vocals with rain and waves underneath, so the MP4 is never silent.

Raindance by Dave featuring Tems, out on 23 October 2025 and a UK number one in January 2026. We have no connection to the artists.
No. Your MP4 has an original, softly sung R&B track with rain and waves. Add the Dave and Tems track inside TikTok or Instagram, and lower the clip’s audio there if you want theirs alone.
Yes. Use one photo of you both, or one of each person: the two of you share the pier from the first second, for 4 credits, the same as solo.
5 seconds at 720p for 4 credits on Seedance 2.0 Mini. Longer or sharper clips cost more, and the price shows before you render. No free trial: packs start at 10 credits for $9.99, and a failed render gives its credits back.
None of the three. Any browser works, on a phone or a laptop. The pier, the rain, the song and the push-in are built into the Raindance effect; you bring a photo.
It will not recreate the official video, play the real recording or make you dance: the whole move is one slow, sung close-up. For dancing, pick the gas station effect.
