Rap Songs About Friends: 8 Tracks for Your Crew

Tributes. Tha Crossroads, the Puff Daddy and Faith Evans single and See You Again remember people who died, and each rap song topped the Billboard Hot 100: for eight, eleven and twelve weeks.

Crews. Crew Love puts the inner circle in its title; No New Friends shuts the door on newcomers.

Fake-friend checks. Whodini's Friends asked the question in 1984, and its hook has been sampled since, from Nas in 1996 to Kendrick Lamar in 2024. Kanye West's Real Friends recalls it and turns it on his own family. At the other end sits Best Friend by Saweetie and Doja Cat, a straight celebration with no warning in it. For duos rather than songs, see the best rap duos.

Those songs are about someone else’s crew. To make one about yours, open the AI rap generator, add two photos, you and your best friend (or one photo of both), and write what the rap song is about in up to 120 characters. The AI writes an original verse and beat, and the two of you perform it, lip-synced. It never uses existing songs or voices. Topics that work:

• Best friends since the school bus, same seat, same snacks, 20 years later
• Priya turns 30, the friend who plans every trip and still gets lost
• Two time zones, one group chat, voice notes at 3 a.m.
• The friend who drove six hours to help me move a couch

Each is 10 credits for 12 seconds, in the Hotel Lobby booth or on another stage. Birthday coming up? The birthday rap song page is set up for it. Friendly insults are covered in the rap battle roasts, and the rap duo name generator gives the pair of you a name.
