What to Rap About: 50 AI Rap Topic Ideas
A good AI rap topic says who the rap is about, the occasion and one specific detail, in a single line of up to 120 characters. Here are 50 that fit the box as written, grouped by occasion, plus how to write your own and what the filter refuses.
The editor on this page already starts on AI rap. Anywhere else in the AI rap video editor, AI rap is one of the sounds on the Seedance models: open Video settings and pick a Seedance model, then open Soundtrack & moves and choose AI rap. You type the topic under What is the rap about?, the model writes an original verse and beat, and the lead raps it. Leave the box empty and you get a general hype verse about the two of you.

Write a topic in four parts
Most topics that work have the same four parts: a name, the occasion, one detail and a tone. The name makes the verse about a person, not a type. The occasion says why you are rapping. The detail is the line people will quote back to you.
Name + occasion + one detail + tone
Carlos turns 30, still burns toast every morning, roast him gentlyKeep it to one detail. A 12-second verse is short: even at 4.28 words per second, the pace Guinness World Records measured for Eminem's Rap God, 12 seconds holds about 51 words. Five jokes in one topic leave room for none of them.
- Say the tone in a word or two: sweet, proud, petty, hype, or roast him gently.
- Write in the language you want to hear. The note under the box says the lyrics follow the language you write in.
- Keep it on one line. Line breaks and quotation marks are dropped, and the counter under the box shows how much of the 120 characters you have used.
- For a back-and-forth, tick Both rap and frame the topic as a contest, such as Dev vs Raj: whose fantasy football team is worse.
- For a longer verse, pick another stage and Seedance 2.5, which renders an AI rap of 20 or 30 seconds. The box stays at 120 characters.
The AI rap runs on Seedance, which ByteDance built to generate audio and video together, so the words, the beat and the lip movement come out of one render.

What the filter rejects
Before anything is charged, a filter checks the topic for sexual or hateful words, including spellings with numbers in place of letters. A refused topic shows That topic can't be used and costs nothing, so reword it and try again. Photos are checked too, and the finished video is checked again before it is shown.
The filter reads words, not meaning, so a few harmless phrases trip it: the name Dick, summa cum laude and grammar nazi are all refused. Write Richard, graduated with honors or the spelling police instead.
The AI rap is always asked for an original verse and beat: no existing song, no existing lyrics, no real artist's voice. To hear a track you already have, pick Your song and upload 2 to 15 seconds of MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC or OGG. The AI rap generator page has more on what the AI writes.
Keep roasts friendly and about people who agreed to be in the video. Do not put a public figure in a rap that could pass for real.
FAQ
How long can an AI rap topic be?
120 characters on one line. The counter under the box shows how many you have used, and anything longer is cut off.
What happens if I leave the topic empty?
The AI raps a general hype verse about the two of you. A topic with a name and one detail gives a verse that sounds made for them.
Can the AI rap be in Spanish or another language?
Yes. Write the topic in that language: the note under the box says the lyrics follow the language you write in.
Why was my topic refused?
The filter found a word it treats as sexual or hateful. Nothing is charged. Reword the topic; a harmless word can trip it, such as the name Dick or cum laude.
How much does an AI rap cost?
A 12-second AI rap on Seedance 2.0 Mini 720p costs 10 credits, in the Hotel Lobby booth or on another stage. The topic adds nothing to the price.
